slide projection and text-object combinations

The initial point of the body of works called Mein Körper endet dort wo du dich selbst siehst was my participation at a water ceremony, which started my research about the material ›water‹. The result consists of two parts: a slide projection documenting a self-made water-ritual and a series of text and object combinations, which I developed in cooperation with the dancer Lena Gebhardt. The symbolism of water and the phenomena of the liquid is reflected in this group of works. An inspiration while dealing with the complexity of the medium and subject came from the book ›The Marine Lover (of Friedrich Nietzsche)‹ by Luce Irigaray. The narrative of the exhibition is constructed through variations of perspectives (from the point of view of the sea/ from the point of view of the contemplator) and with associative objects and images (hose, Manneken-piss etc.).
