u-o-a-e-i

The flag u-o-a-e-i shows the characters of the vowels and an ornamental illustration of vocal cords. The arrangement of the letters on the flag follow the manifestation of the vowels as sound in the body (u in pelvis, o in belly, a in breast, e in throat and i in head). The work links physical requirements of speaking with the abstracted visual appearance of a typeface.
